Alison Sims ('09)
Alison is currently pursuing a double major in Religious Studies and Psychology while also minoring in Classical Studies. She is the 2008 recipient of the Rebecca Tomlinson Lindblom Award for excellence in Religion and Philosophy. While at Sweet Briar she has been a member of Eta Sigma Phi, Psi Chi, Alpha Lambda Delta, and Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Societies. Alison currently serves as the Student Government Vice President, and has also participated in the Student Relations Committee, Student Advisory Council, Judicial Committee, and the Academic Affairs Committee. She is a dedicated rider and has competed on three of SBC's teams each year (serving as a Captain for the last two). After graduation Alison hopes to pursue a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy and eventually work in a Children's Hospital.
Ashley Carroll ('10)
Ashley is a double-major in Religion and Philosophy. She is the president of SWEEP, Station Manager and DJ for WNRS 89.9 FM. She's a writing tutor at the ARC, does Logic tutoring on the side, and is an assistant for the CPR department. She has plans for getting her Ph.D in either Latin American religions or ancient Egyptian religions to later become a professor of Religion. Her favorite religion course is the Comparative Philosophy of Religion, taught by John Goulde, because it incorporates both religion and philosophy into its classes. Ashley enjoys climbing trees, reading books, roller-blading, playing computer games, driving, riding horses, DJ-ing, and playing with her pet hedgehog.
Leigh Anne Arnold ('10)
Leigh Anne is a Religion major, with minors in Latin American Studies and Spanish (undeclared). Thus far, her favorite religion course has been Multicultural Religious America. Currently, she is the historian of Phi Beta Lambda and a member of the Spanish Club and the College Republicans Club. After college, Leigh Anne has aspirations of attending graduate school where she will be studying Public Relations/Marketing.
Allison Wiley ('11)
Allison plans on majoring in Religion and double minoring in Classics and English. Her favorite religion course so far has been Judaism with Professor Gutierrez. Allison works as a Student Assistant in the Cochran Library on campus and her interests include singing and reading and writing poetry. Her post-graduation plans include becoming a licensed teacher in Virginia and North Carolina.
